2015 was my busiest year so far & my most enjoyable year .. I photographed lots & lots of wedding's all in the local area mainly Ascot & every wedding was beautiful and very enjoyable it always helps when the guests are friendly and like to chat .. The guests see how hard I work and always make sure I've got a drink .. No alcohol just water!!.. Although I always get offered a glass of Champagne first thing in the morning whilst photographing the Bride getting ready.. I do decline if I didn't I would be the first one on the dance floor!
My weekends are filling up fast for my 2016 Wedding's already I've got Wedding's already confirmed & paid for in 2014! ... I also run a portrait studio. The studio is my main income .. I do wedding's because I absolutely love them & enjoy every single moment...My favourite part of the day is the Bridal prep I just love photographing the shoes and flowers, jewellery and perfume & of course the dress. I ask before I start moving bits & bobs around to manipulate the natural window light.
I'm very excited about the new Wedding season soon upon us! If you would like to see my Silver & Gold package please give me a call or look under the Info section on my website everything is there to be seen.
This Wedding of Andre & Jo took place at Taplow House Hotel in Maidenhead it's such a beautiful venue. I once did a Bridal Fashion shoot in the exact same room as my bride was getting ready but this time I didn't get her to jump up and down on the bed in her Wedding dress!
I hope you enjoy the photos ....
See you in 2016!

Well, Hello ...
I've been completely useless & not updated my Blog for probably about a year!! I'm not very good at writing so here goes probably a awful attempt!
This is a wedding I will never forget and I think I've been scarred for life!! Certainly very jumpy since!
Karen & Vick came to me first for their pre wedding shoot. We decided to a shoot in my studio due to the weather that day!
On 8/8/2015 I had the pleasure of photographing a gorgeous wedding at The Mill House Hotel in Swallowfield http://www.themillhousehotel.co.uk Berkshire. To start off I went to the Brides house to photograph the Brides family & friends getting ready.. The atmosphere was relaxed and very well organised! Once the Bride's dress had been put on I disappeared off to The Mill House Hotel where the ceremony and wedding breakfast took place.
The sun was shining & it was such a perfect day for a wedding. The venue had been decorated beautifully, which for me is a dream as then there's always lovely things to take photos of!
The Ceremony went perfectly & you could so see how much the couple loved each other.
After the ceremony I set up the confetti shot in the gardens these are always great fun - I have to snap snap away as I found the confetti always seems to land on the face either the mouth or the eyes which is obviously annoying if you want the perfect shot!
We then moved onto the Family photos in the garden everyone was happy chatting & drinking plenty of Pimms. The only problem was that because there was so many glasses of sweet Pimms this attracted the Wasp's. Right in the middle of a family shot a Wasp (or possibly a Bee) decided to come and sit on my eye and sting me!! Ouch it hurt & too top it off I had an allergic reaction to the sting so I looked like I had been punched in the face. Anyway, I carried on & got through my list of photos in a lot of pain but I did it!!
The guests all sat down for their meal & this is time for me to sit back and relax for a while!! The entertainment was amazing through out the meal these guys had everyone singing and waving their napkins around!
The speeches were after the meal and I don't think I have laughed so much for long time .. Karen the Bride did a fantastic speech a poem with plenty of rude words that weren't rude words if you know what I mean!
Thank you to Karen & Vic for letting me photograph your big day.

Well, Good Morning ! .. I had a HUGE urge to Blog this morning for some strange reason when I was walking back from the School run. I think the Sunshine and clear blue skies has something to do with feeling motivated and gets you ready to tackle anything.. The sun always puts me in a good mood! I think others felt the same this morning as everyone I walked pass either smiled or said good morning!
The Summer holidays have been crazy what with opening a new studio and trying to entertain a 6 year old. I think the Theme Parks have been well and truly used to their full potential .. although Alton Towers still needs to be visited! Although if we do go I will need to check my daughters shoes for any hidden pebbles.. I tried to explain that the height restrictions are there for safety reasons!
The last 2 weeks at my new Photography studio in Ruscombe, Twyford have been very busy. In total I've done 7 photo session lots of Families and children and 2 Whippets. The dogs were the winners of last years Pet of the Year competition run in the Maidenhead Advertiser.
Today in the studio I have a family coming in for some Photographs as it's her mother's 70th Birthday soon they will then be coming back on the day of her birthday to choose the images they want to buy. I said I might even get a small birthday cake for her! I've also got a family coming back late afternoon to look her sons images they have turned out beautifully here is a sneaky peek from the session.. He was a smiler!
Since my new Photography Studio for Family & Kids opened in Twyford I seem to have used my Teddy Bears quite a lot.. the kids love them! Here is another image I shot a few weeks ago. I also photographed this little girl when she was just weeks old. She was such an adorable little girl to Photograph.
This Friday in the Studio I have a Bridal Portraiture shoot. Just for fun! I'm looking forward to getting creative with some of the natural light in my studio as well as the studio lights. Hopefully we are having a beautiful bouquet of flowers made up for the shoot but I think I may have left it a bit late! I have another lot of homework to do for my mentoring sessions with Damian McGillicudy so i'm hoping I can use some of the images from this Bridal session. i'll post some images beginning of next week..
Have a lovely day everyone

LSWPP Qualified Member
Since the beginning of 2011 I have entered my favourite images to the SWPP's Monthly Competition. I have been very lucky & have received various awards. In 2011 I got a 'GOLD' for my Pet Photography. I won 4 'Silver' awards for my Wedding Photography & lot's of Bronzes in different areas.
This year they changed the 'judging' and they have really tightened up on handing out awards. So it's been a challenge ! My aim is to get a nice selection of Gold's by the end of 2012! I have won 4 'HIGHLY COMMENDED' awards so far this year in my Wedding, Baby & Pet Photography.
MAY 2012 - PET CATEGORY -HIGHLY COMMENDED
MAY 2012 - BABY & BUMP - HIGHLY COMMENDED
& these are July's entries ... (I didn't enter anything in June)
JULY 2012 - TRADITIONAL WEDDING - HIGHLY COMMENDED
AUGUST 2012 - BUMP & BABY - JULY 2012
Please leave any comments i'd love to hear what you have to say ..

I said I would keep my Blog up to date and I haven’t (slap on the wrists!)
Well what a better time to tell you about some exciting new things for Karen Gray Photography!!
I turned 40 on 1st August 2012 on the day my Studio in Ruscombe in Twyford officially opened! I have now left my Photography studio in Bracknell and I am now only 15 minutes away in Twyford. It’s very easy to get to from Bracknell you just need to drive through Binfield and turn right at the Honda Garage and stay on that road all the way into Ruscombe in Twyford. I am so excited about my new studio it was a lot of hard work but I just sit there and look around and think “WOW I did this”!
My Family Photography Studio is set in the beautiful countryside of Ruscombe in Twyford. I am 2 minutes away from the big Wyvale Garden Centre on the A4 heading into Reading from Maidenhead. My next door neighbours in Castle End Business Park are the Conservative Party, Theresa May and her team.
I Photographed my first Family Studio session in the new studio yesterday for my Sister who was visiting from Scotland with her family .. It was a hard session as the 2 year old twins were more interested in my toilet and the TV remote control haha! My lovely little Nephews.. We moved the session out into the grounds and they were in their element chasing each other on the grass. My first week is fully booked and the enquires are coming in fast. I am going to be looking for a Admin Assistant in the next few Months and will be advertising in local newspapers.

Hello my name is Karen, I am a Family and Wedding Photographer living in Warfield, Bracknell but covering the Berkshire area.
I specialise in fun Children's photography in my studio and also Newborn baby Photography.
I’ve been trying to decide for ages whether or not I should start a Blog. Will I have the time to keep it up to date, I thought? I now realise in life you have time for most things if you really want to do something & you make time!
I would love to know how many hours in my day I waste on Facebook or looking at Photos on Flickr! I’ve even been looking at Voice recognition software so I don’t have to type anything, I’m not lazy honestly!!!
In fact I’m far from it. I live in Warfield with my beautiful 6 year old Girl and I’m running my own Photography business. Karen Gray Photography Life is so busy at the moment sometimes I think I’m going a bit nuts.
I have had a very good week, at the beginning of the week I found out my panel of 20 images I sent into The Society of Portrait & Wedding Photographers for mentoring had been sent directly for Qualification & I was successful. So I am passed my Big L challenge. This means that my Images submitted were accepted as being professional standard and demonstrated my ability to create images of excellence and Licentiate of the SWPP. I was over the moon! Next will be the A challenge. Associate. Hopefully my Mentoring Sessions with Damian McGillicuddy every 10 weeks up in Cheshire will pay off!
Things are moving along slowly with my new studio premises. I don’t really want to say too much as nothing has been signed and my Solicitor is dealing with all the commercial lettings side of things at the moment. I have my first shoot outdoors on the studio grounds tomorrow (weather permitting) Let’s just say the Theme of the session is ‘The Secret Garden’ and it involves a big wooden door..
On that note I would just like to Thanks all of my Facebook fans for all your kind words of Support over the last few years.
Karen LSWPP ( I love typing that!)
